The feature ingredients in the Funch Green Tea and Chia Protein Power Ball is the chia seeds, green tea and of course the raw pure pea protein. Green tea has a really distinctive taste so I was not sure how it would work in a protein ball, but in-fact it was great. The distinctive taste was not overwhelming, but rather a refreshing subtle taste, which was beautifully complemented by the natural, rich taste of the dates.

Funch’s Green Tea and Chia balls are 100% vegan too which makes them suitable for people with dairy allergies and intolerances. Green tea has become a really popular superfood due to the many positive health benefits it demonstrated due to its high levels of antioxidants. Various studies have found that it can lower blood pressure and the levels of bad cholesterol in the body. Green Tea also contains a wide variety of vitamins and minerals, along with some caffeine. The caffeine in green tea is lower than that of coffee, but still makes it a great energy booster.

Funch uses raw pure pea protein in their products, which is a clean, raw, highly digestible protein. Chia seeds are a good source of calcium which is vital for bone health and the prevention of osteoporosis, and omega 3, an essential fatty acid.

I ate my Funch Green Tea and Chia balls as a mid-morning snack before I hit the gym. The combination of protein and green tea are a great energizing snack so that I have more energy to work harder for longer.
