Recipe: Protein Balls Mix Vanilla + Coconut

You Will Need

  • 1/4 cup rice malt syrup or honey (90g)
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil (45g), melted or 2 tbs warm water (30g)

Other options: Swap Rice Syrup with Maple Syrup or 1 cup fresh dates, pitted and softened.

To prepare dates: Pit dates and then combine with 2 tbs of water in a microwave for 45 sec. Once soft mash with a fork


  1. In a bowl, thoroughly combine Funch Mix with all ingredients

  2. Using hands, roll mixture portion (approx 1 tbs) into tight balls

TIP: Wearing plastic gloves makes rolling your balls much easier 

Refrigerate for 30 mins before consuming. Store in an airtight container in the fridge. Also suitable to freeze.

    Suggestions for varying the recipe

    Roll your balls in:

    • Desiccated Coconut
    • Crushed Almonds
    • Raw Cacao Nibs
    • Melted Chocolate

    Add to your mixture:

    • Raw Cacao Nibs
    • Peanut Butter
    • Lemon Zest
    • Toasted Pecans
    • Toasted Walnuts
    • Nut Butter
    • Crushed Nuts of Choice

    Other uses:

    • Add a couple of spoonfuls to your smoothies for a delicious vanilla and coconut taste
    • Sprinkle on your yoghurt or ice-cream
    • Add to your raw dessert mixture
